Meet the Camper Pullover! This crochet pullover pattern is super comfy and stylish. You can wear it alone or layer it for the colder weather for some cute outfits. The two-tone look on this and the texture of the alpine stitch along the bottom half of the top are my favorite design elements on this piece.
I was inspired to create this pullover while online shopping (because when am I not?). I kept seeing all these cute fall half sleeve pullovers and realized I needed a crochet pullover of my own! My goal for this sweater was comfort and simplicity. I didn’t want a piece that was making a bold statement but still wanted it to be unique. Along with that, I really just wanted something I could live in every day.

The biggest reason this sweater is as comfy as it is is the yarn. I chose to use Lion Brand’s Basic Stitch yarn. Let me tell you, it is SO SLEEK and SO COMFY. I truly could live in this sweater every day. The fabric isn’t stiff and isn’t so loose that it comes apart in the wash. I’ve washed this sweater many times and it has withstood the test of time over and over. This yarn is definitely now in my top 10 and I can’t wait to use it again.
This pattern is actually my second ever yoke design and while testing it definitely put me through a struggle. My testers did an absolutely fantastic job and all deserve trophies for putting up with the edits and helping me bring this pattern to life. I’ll be taking a break from the round yoke design for a while to recoup but I do see a square yoke in my future.

- Another weight 4 yarn that matches the gauge will work as well.

Ribbing:
Ch6 then hdc in the 2nd ch from your hook and in each st across [5 sts] then sl st into the next space along the bottom of the sweater and in the space after that. *Working above the stitches you just made, hdc flo in each st until the end [5 sts] then ch1 & turn. Hdc blo in each st across the row [5 sts] and sl st into the next space along the sweater and in the space after.*; repeat from * across until you come back around to your origin point. Sl st into each beginning ribbing space [5 sl sts] then cut & tie off.

Rows 1-16 (1-16, 1-17, 1-17, 1-19, 1-19, 1-20, 1-20): Ch1, hdc in each st across the row until the end. Sl st into the beginning ch & turn. [42, 42, 48, 48, 54, 54, 60, 60] **if you prefer longer sleeves, you can keep repeating this row until you reach your desired length, keeping in mind the sleeve ribbing will add 1 inch**
Sleeve Ribbing:
Repeat same process as body ribbing for the sleeve ribbing then cut & tie off.
