Looking for a cute & cozy winter accessory? Look no further! This scarf is perfect to amp up any outfit. It has a lovely shell stitch detail and uses treble crochets to give an open window-paned look in between. I was inspired to create this design while thinking up Christmas gifts this past December. In trying to figure out what to make for my aunt, I found that this shell stitch was perfect for a gift for her and so began this design process.

*repeat rows 8-16 for pattern until you’ve reached desired length. I chose 115 rows as my ending point – make sure to end after 7 rows of shells*

Length on this can be adjusted by adding or removing rows. I recommend always making sure to end with 7 rows of shells.

Fringe (optional):

To add fringe, cut strands of yarn at equal lengths (I chose 5-6” strips for my fringe) and hold a few strands together (I held 4 strands together for my fringe) and fold the strands in half over your hook. Pull these strands through any space at the bottom of your work, yarnover using all the strands and pull through the loop. Then make sure to pull tightly so the fringe knot doesn’t come undone. I chose to insert fringe into every other space at the bottom of my work but you can add more or less as you like.
