Although colder weather is the ~prime~ time for crocheting, the fun shouldn’t stop once the weather starts getting warmer! Some of my absolute favorite crochet patterns are for warmer weather. Everything from tank tops to lighter cardigans to cute accessories can be perfect for the springtime.

This post will give you great crochet styles for spring and includes content from some amazing crochet designers.

Cardigans

Contrary to popular belief, cardigans aren’t just for the colder months! Cardigans are super versatile year-round. There are lighter weight cardigans as well as cardigans that are perfect for layering. One of my favorite spring outfits is a light layered look with a cardigan on top. Below are some cute ideas to style your crochet cardigans and outfit pairings.

Cocoon-Style Cardigan:

Crochet Pattern | Floral Garden Cardigan from YarnThrift

This crochet pattern is great for layering. It’s a cocoon style cardigan that goes great over any tank top or short sleeve top. Pair with some cute loose-fitting shorts or your favorite jeans for the perfect outfit. This is great to dress up or dress down. You can wear this to your friends backyard barbeque or to the office for a more business casual look.

Sleeveless Cardigan:

This cute cardigan is perfect for layering on warmer days. The sleeveless design is great to pair with jeans, shorts or a cute skirt! The outfit pairing pictured is absolutely perfect for a quick lunch with friends or even a casual outfit for the office. You can check out this design and more at anothermumfightsthedust.com.

Duster Cardigan:

Crochet Pattern | Sunset Sea Vest from YarnThrift

Dusters are the perfect springtime accessory. They can be worn with your favorite pair of jeans or shorts. I love pairing these with my favorite neutral sandals for a casual but cute style. You can find this pattern and more in my Etsy shop here. One of my favorite vacation outfits using duster-style cardigans is to use them as a cover up for a beachy, flowy look.

Accessories

Accessories are the perfect spring crochet make. They’re super quick compared to garments and can be worn with so many outfits. You will never have to choose which pair of jeans goes best with these – you can wear them with all your jeans. (Anyone else have that problem or just me? I know jeans are supposed to go with everything but we all have our favorite pair.)

Bags:

This gorgeous clutch is the epitome of spring & warmer months. It incorporates fringe & beads for the perfect pop of boho flair and can go with almost any outfit. You can get the downloadable pdf on etsy as well by clicking here.

Crochet Pattern | Harvest Fields Bag

This crochet bag is great for a day trip, a visit to the winery (or brewery) and lots in between. I paired this bag with a simple long sleeve top and jeans but I think this would look great with a cute flowy dress and some simple sandals. It will fit your wallet, phone, keys, and other necessities for your day. You can click the photo for the free pattern or check out the downloadable pdf on Etsy here.

Shawls:

This shawl is the perfect layer for a spring outfit. This is great for chillier or windy days to layer over any outift. There are so many different ways you can wear the shawl as well which is great. Bonus: This is a one skein wonder! Great for that skein you’ve been waiting to use. You can check out this pattern and more from Fosbas Designs by clicking here.

Headbands:

Looking for a cute way to finish off an outfit? Look no further than this adorable top knot headband! This is a quick and easy make and can be made in all your favorite colors to finish off any outfit. This is great for bad hair days or to spruce up your outfit. Great to dress up or dress down.
