Now that summer has officially kicked off, we’ve jumped into weekend trips, grilling in the backyard, and fun summertime activities. Of course, one big summer event is right around the corner – the 4th of July. While I’ve been having so much fun working up fun summer bralettes, I also love a good patriotic crochet pattern to decorate for the 4th of July.

One of my favorite summertime activities growing up was heading to the local fireworks show. We’d grab a blanket, make sure to load up on local snacks, and enjoy spending time listening to the music and enjoying the fireworks show in our hometown. As I got older, when we weren’t out seeing the firework show, there was always a fun and festive barbecue to be had where we’d enjoy festive 4th of July decorations and some great grilled food. To this day, I still love a good 4th of July barbecue and seeing as many fireworks as I can.
